As a Graduate Software Engineer, we'll equip you with the technical tools and hands-on experience to succeed, as well as giving you the time and support to study for industry-recognised Cloud certifications, and access to Pluralsight to continually build your technical skill. From the beginning we'll get you working on interesting and challenging projects alongside a community of highly capable and experienced technology professionals. You'll learn to act as an agent of change, bringing in fresh eyes and thoughts to how we work. Your work will include enhancing existing products, creating new products and platforms and maintaining our existing applications, by: Writing and testing software code for our applications Using version control systems to maintain our software code base Focus on software development techniques as well as software language Developing yourself and later others in the Software Engineering community About you You will: Have or be on track for a 2:2 Degree, preferably in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) related subject You will also need a minimum of 5 x GCSE's or Scottish National 5's at A-C grade (4-9) (or equivalent) from prior study - this must include English and Maths Have significant experience of coding - whether as a part of your studies or as an outside passion. We'll ask you to share examples of what you have built and troubleshoot code as part of our selection process Be flexible, able to adapt and change quickly to different situations Be comfortable talking about your work, and explaining concepts and decisions to other Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills Have a love of learning and be working to continually improve Have a genuine interest in technology What will you get for this role?
