Your new company Are a specialists in mission-critical communications and intelligent systems, and operate in markets including the defence, marine, aerospace and nuclear sectors. They help their customers to resolve complex technical challenges; investigating and creating innovative solutions, designing and manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies, and integrating and supporting systems through\u2011life. Your new role The provision of IT and Network technical solutions and support to the Project requirements Helpdesk management and support Continuous improvement of Network engineering capabilities, maintaining a leading edge capability Leading the planning, delivery and assurance of customer and in house work packages Oversight, direction and guidance to the allocated project team members, through the planning and delivery of installation tasks and projects The provision of all essential project documents and internal work instructions The provision of network engineering technical input into bid preparation and contracts The development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for network engineering activities Customer liaison on all network engineering risks and issues What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 5 years, relevant experience of live networking systems and associated support CCNA/CWNA/CCNP Network Engineering with relevant Defence sector experience Experience with VMware, TCIP and SNMP IP Networking Degree or equivalent experience Network Design experience Knowledge of MS Server infrastructure / Exchange / Windows Server The ability to think creatively to overcome challenges A positive and forward-leaning attitude to continuous improvement Knowledge of Linux / RED HAT architecture and commands Working knowledge of POE/ CAT5/CAT6 An understanding of IPTV/OTT What you'll get in return This is an opportunity to join an exciting, innovative technology and engineering company with a mission to deliver solutions that make a difference.
