Senior Systems Engineer Stoke on Trent £43 000 p/a Are you an experienced 3rd Line Systems Engineer looking to progress in your career? We have a great opportunity for engineers with keen passion for IT- In this role you will assist in monitoring, supporting, configuring, documenting & support all IT infrastructure to support Group operations. This leading brand based in Stoke on Trent is looking to appoint key addition to an existing team of system engineers where you will provide 3rd line technical support and act as escalation point for any issues ensuring timely resolution and regular communication to customers throughout. You will be responsible for monitoring of infrastructure and documentation of systems through a process of continual improvement as well as design, implementation, testing and documentation of new processes. In this role you will directly escalate any issues & report to Operations Manager. In order to be successful in this role you will have minimum of 2 years’ experience in 3rd line IT support role, good understanding of Windows Server, experience of VM Ware, installation and supporting Microsoft Exchange from 2003 up to Office 365 as well as good knowledge of active directory management including Group policy. This role will offer exposure to variety of exciting project work as well as some support over BAU tasks and will suit an engineer with expert commercial knowledge and experience of the following: Core networking services -TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP Networking skills – switching, routing, VLANs, PoE, WLAN Storage infrastructures- NAS / SAN Mobile Device Management Avaya telephony systems Active Directory and Exchange Server Administration. MS Office //O365 Understanding of hardware set-up and configuration IT related Degree or Microsoft certifications - MSCE, MCITP etc This role is part of a truly world class team, where you will always be challenged & stimulated by your colleagues.
