Overview
Do you want to make a difference to a child’s future? We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, enthusiastic and motivated Senior Residential Care Worker who is flexible and has a desire to make a difference to help and support young people. You will play a full and effective role as a member of the staff team, providing high-quality assessment and residential care for young people with extensive, complex and enduring needs who display high risk behaviours. The homes aim is to provide an outstanding holistic service of care and education within a therapeutic environment. Senior Residential Care Worker Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the safeguarding of all young people Play an active part in creating a caring, safe, fun and enriching environment for the young people Promote educational achievement for the young people Create and sustain positive and trusting relationships with the young people Be a strong advocate for the young people that you look after including helping them to share their views and wishes and supporting them to make complaints if needed. Understand the need to provide clear and safe boundaries and be a positive role model for young people and the teams you work in Complete all plans and reports in a timely and accurate manner Lead shifts and be responsible for all the day to day shift management in the home Offer support, reflection and development to colleagues Deliver a high quality induction to new Residential team members Take on areas of additional responsibility to support your development and the development of the home and team that you are part of Senior Residential Care Worker Minimum Requirements: Level 3 in Children’s and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent (Essential) Experience working in residential childcare Experience managing a team of support workers Experience working with young people with complex needs and EBD (Desirable) Full drivers license Salary: £9.68 per hour £45 per sleep in Closing date: ASAP Interview: ASAP Contact: Sue at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
