Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapist within an Older People's Mental Health crisis service based at the Harplands Hospital, working full time 08.00 - 16.00 Monday to Friday. The role would involve working generically within the team whilst also utilising specific OT skills, knowledge and therapeutic interventions. The Outreach Team seeks to provide an inclusive service to ensure that people coming into contact with the Crisis Team receive a high quality, competent and effective range of interventions. The service delivery includes liaison, prevention and ultimately, if needed, equitable access to mental health services across the Trust and facilitation of admission to a psychiatric ward. We are looking for an imaginative, enthusiastic and self- motivated individual who is committed to the principles and practice of recovery and to partnership working between health and social care. If you can work in a pressured environment, have a proven record of excellent assessment and risk assessment skills and knowledge of other appropriate services for sign posting you may be the person we're looking for.
