Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and innovative manager to join the team at Eat Work Art. You will strive to enhance all aspects of our resident experience at Netil House, Netil Market and Old Paradise Yard. Working with some of the most exciting creative businesses in the UK, you will ensure their working environments, wellbeing and social experience are optimised. You will see each touch point with our residents as an opportunity to exceed expectations and to ensure they feel connected to and supported by our community. This role oversees all day-to-day operations from Front of House, building management, compliance and events to to lease renewals and supporting studio sales, so a diverse skill set and flexible approach are a must. Taking full ownership of customer service & support, facilities, studio viewings & renewals, this is a fast-paced role suited to an experienced manager with a passion for people and the creative industries. Based at Netil House in London Fields, you will oversee resident experience at Netil House, Netil Market, Old Paradise Yard and a small cluster of studios in Shoreditch. Netil House, Hackney Downs Studios and Old Paradise Yard are our most well-known ventures with over 800 industry leading artists, photographers, fashion designers, music producers, designers, agencies and independent retail businesses, resident with us at any one time. You will: Overhaul the resident experience from start to finish. Consider all touch points with a thorough and creative approach. Develop the Front of House team to oversee the day-to-day running of the building and act as an informative and welcoming hub to residents and guests. Ensure the building is pristine, well maintained and safe at all times. Manage our agency security & concierge and cleaning teams. Complete and maintain checks and records relating to the site; e.g. fire alarm testing, incident reports, risk assessments. Implement systems to monitor our performance in key areas to ensure consistent improvement and a targeted response to any problem areas. Deal with complex resident enquiries, treating each case as an opportunity to exceed expectations. Manage communication between residents and relevant departments e.g. maintenance, IT and electrical as appropriate. Lead on resident culture and networking events. Ensure you and your team actively facilitate collaboration by getting to know residents and their work, introducing people and organising relevant, enjoyable events. Manage relationships with on-site retail, wellness, food & beverage residents, ensuring these spaces are beneficial to our resident and wider communities. Oversee the lease renewal process for all residents, striving to exceed retention and renewal rental targets. Oversee all lease renewal administration, ensuring all documents are issued, signed and filed correctly. Assist Resident Curation by conducting studio viewings with potential residents. Lead our annual Open Studios event with a focus on current resident participation and event management. Essential Experience and Skills Minimum 2 years management experience. Extensive experience in a premium, customer-focused environment. Ability to understand the specific needs of our residents and respond to them appropriately. An understanding of the workspace market and the creative industries. Good understanding of computers, IT and CCTV systems. Strong communication and negotiation skills in order to agree the best possible terms.
