Overview

Hammonds , the UK's largest choice of fitted furniture company have a vacancy for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our small team of finance clerks based at our site on the Harrowbrook Industrial Estate, Hinckley. You will join us on a full time temporary contract up until the end of December 2020 and in return w e are offering a salary of £17,050 per annum pro rata. Hammonds now have over 100 stores nationwide and continue to grow, which means we need more people like you to help promote our top quality fitted bedroom furniture and provide excellent customer service to our customers. The responsibilities of our Purchase Ledger Clerk will include Main Responsibilities: - Printing and logging invoices onto the accounts system and distributing the relevant signatories. - Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries by email and telephone. - Setting up of new supplier accounts. - Processing daily fitter reports - Processing Surveyor invoices. - Weekly commission payments. - Assisting with statement reconciliations. - Distributing incoming post and filing. - Assisting the wider team on an ad-hoc basis. Skills and Experience required of our Purchase Ledger Clerk : - Previous experience within a busy accounts-based role. The ideal Purchase Ledger Clerk candidate will : - Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. - Be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Be highly numerate. - Be able to work under pressure and organise workload. - Be a team player. Hinckley is commutable from Leicester, Coventry, Nuneaton, Lutterworth, Coalville, Rugby and surrounding areas.
