Overview

Our client is small but growing accountancy firm (specialising in contractors and business SME's) based in Canary Wharf, part of a larger group of companies with a combined turnover of £9 million. Due to this growth, they are looking to add to their growing team within the accountancy team (of 5), with a new role of Semi-Senior Accountant, to be client-facing contact between the qualified Accountants (of which there are 10) abroad and clients in the UK, for a smaller business in fantastic offices in London. They have over 600 clients including Contractors and small businesses and this is growing, with a focus on innovative, bespoke technology to be used by their clients and a streamlined service to ensure further growth. Job responsibilities; Act as the interface between self-employed businesses / contractors and the accountancy team based in Pakistan and France, dealing with accountancy queries, general queries and maintaining good relations with the clients on a regular basis Review the accounts / finance and information from both sides and ensure accuracy of information, consistency of communication, and that queries are resolved, with an emphasis on communication skills Review the accounts produced and prepared by qualified Accountants abroad for the clients in UK Provide ad-hoc finance amendments to accounts produced - typically accruals, prepayments, budgeting / forecasting, as and when necessary Provide finance assistance to colleagues Candidate Requirements; Candidates MUST be part-qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA with at least 2-3 years UK experience of working in an accountancy firm in the UK as a Semi-Senior Accountant or for an Umbrella business Candidates must also be strong communicators, skilled in both both fluent English and ideally, Urdu (though this isn't mandatory), to liaise effectively with the qualified Accountants in Pakistan You will also have experience of working as a client-facing Accountant in the UK, with a solid graps of both financial and management accounting, to accurately review the financials produced abroad for clients in the UK Possess the experience to liaise professionally and diligently with both clients and colleagues alike Have solid system skills including experience of Xero, Quickbooks and Excel Able to commute easily into Central London
