Technical Business Analyst Full-time, Permanent Overview My client is a financial technology business which exists to make safe commerce simple. Their technology allows businesses across sectors to protect themselves and their customers against the threat of financial crime by deploying a wide range of external data sources and cutting-edge analytical techniques across the financial crime spectrum, including: Identity Verification, "Know your Customer" and "Enhanced due diligence" checks Anti-Money Laundering Screening and Monitoring Application and transactional fraud prevention This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most exciting and rapidly growing FinTech/RegTech companies in the UK as it grows both in Europe and the US. As a Technical Business Analyst , you will work closely with the Product and Development teams to gather requirements and find optimal technical solutions as we continue to develop and improve our industry leading fraud and financial crime platform . They are looking for someone who enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment and has a passion for delivering innovation and making a real impact on the success of the business. Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with the Product Team, Development Team and their Customers to: produce functional requirements ensure that solutions are sufficiently documented and agreed prior to development and implementation. produce technical specification documentation relating to new customer projects, generating options and suggesting solutions (with occasional travel to customer sites) support in the maintenance of the product roadmap and development sprint backlogs Skills and Experience Strong communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to translate basic user needs into complex technical requirements and vice versa Significant experience working closely with technology teams and writing stories with a technical bias Hands on experience with Jira/Confluence Experience working within an Agile Scrum and Kanban environment A technical background including experience working with programming languages (any coding experience is beneficial) Strong working knowledge of solution architecture design and delivery including implementation of interface capabilities i.e. APIs Technical knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP and XML About us: Based in the centre of Leeds, the client was founded with a clear goal: to make safe commerce simple, through advanced detection and management of financial crime in one unified platform.
