Overview
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a large and leading multi-disciplinary consultancy on the hire of a Senior Economics Consultant to join the Newcastle office. We are seeking a bright, creative and committed candidate who can deliver high-quality work and outcomes for the consultancy's clients. Our client works with a range of organisations such as major developers, local authorities and Local Enterprise Partnerships. Our client is an established and highly regarded planning and development consultancy who and is recognised as one of the 'Best Places to Work in Property' by Property Week magazine. They work within all sectors advising both the private and public sectors on a wide range of economics work, including many large and complex projects. In order to apply, you will have four years' or more experience, with a good knowledge of economic development matters. You will have experience of working on economic impact assessments of major developments and infrastructure schemes, property market studies, growth strategies, employment land reviews, labour market and socio-economic analysis, area-based economic and regeneration studies and other research. All candidates will be particularly comfortable in working with statistics to support the case for the development and be able to demonstrate proficiency in undertaking statistical analysis such as demographic modelling and/or socio-economic analysis. A good understanding of planning policy issues, in general, would be advantageous. Our client offers a highly competitive benefits package, subject to negotiation.
