Job Summary Lead, coach and develop 3 direct reports and the wider retail team to provide a talent pipeline for European expansion Be an integral member of the stores leadership team by partnering with our UK, Ireland and HomeSense Retail Vice Presidents and their direct reports. Providing timely, accurate and insightful analysis of actuals, forecasts and budgets. Identify risks and opportunities - collaborating with the Store Operations team to deliver improved business performance Provide rigour and consistently high support and challenge to ensure best for business decisions are made Collaborate within the Retail finance team to communicate and manage risk and opportunities to our Budget To achieve these the role requires the ability to build relationships and influence at VP level. This position demands the ability to understand the inter-dependencies between the P&L and real business activity to give effective insight to seize opportunities for improving performance. Key Responsibilities Deliver the following through self and team: Act as the finance lead for the UK, Ireland and HomeSense Stores P&L Optimise data and systems to develop analytical tools and efficient processes that are best in class for improving cost controls Partner with the Retail Vice Presidents and Regional Directors to gain an understanding of business processes and become an integral part of the country retail team whose financial expertise is sought and valued Encourage and steer your Business Partner to make informed business decisions using relevant information, taking opportunities to reduce our cost base / maximise returns where you believe it appropriate Analyse current business practices and identify best practice and opportunities for improvement with benchmarking Build a learning culture and ensure a strong review process is developed to allow continuous improvement Coach and develop your direct reports for promotion opportunities Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience Qualified accountant or MBA graduate with proven line management experience Excellent relationship building skills and ability to deliver with others Curious about the business and drivers of performance Can describe complex ideas simply to finance as well as to non-finance teams Willingness to pursue objectives outside of core role Track record of delivering results to deadlines Flexible attitude and forward thinking nature Come and Discover Different at TJX.
