Overview
Prestigious global organisation have a brand new opportunity for a Qualified Accounting/Finance Manager. Reporting into the Financial Controller this role is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the general accounting practices. This roles requires someone who is able to develop internal accounting controls, track corporate client / suppliers accounts and build a strong financial team. Main elements of the duties are; Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation including: Month and end-year process Management of a team of 5 staff in Accounts payable/receivable / General ledger Revenue and expenditure variance analysis Capital assets reconciliations Fixed asset activity Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant who has managed a team of at least 5 people within a financial accounting function who has established and enforced proper accounting methods, policies and principles. Someone who is commercially savvy, assertive and proactive.
