With over 150 product lines, supplying some of the UK's premier retail outlets, our client has grown from humble beginnings into a multi-million pound manufacturing business which has seen amazing growth in the last five years. Due to continued growth our Client are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to support the Supply Chain processes by working alongside Planning, Purchasing & Finance colleagues, ensuring efficient procurement of raw materials, packaging and 3rd party bought in products. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is a quick learner and has a flexible and adaptable approach to work, who can remain calm under pressure to join the team. The successful candidate will have: Experience of procurement and/or production planning in the food manufacturing industry A good standard of numeracy, literacy and negotiating skills Previous experience of ERP/MRP systems, preferably on Sage Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel Main duties will include: Ensure Purchase Orders are raised correctly, using the approved supplier database and by pricing agreements in place. Liaise with the Planning Controller to monitor stock levels of raw materials and packing materials to ensure correct amounts are purchased and available 24 hours prior to being required on the production plan. Track and monitor Supplier performance to include maintenance of all approved supplier records & documentation. Manage and maintain the company’s raw materials records to ensure accuracy. Implement improvement processes to reduce inventory, minimise cost and maximise working capital. Work closely with the Purchase Ledger Administrator to resolve any anomalies. Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams, including those from NPD, Technical, Operations, Warehouse, Sales and Production.
