Overview

Our client is an fast growing private Equity backed business based in Preston. Following a sustained period of growth, both strategically, organically and by acquisition, they are now seeking a Financial Controller to lead their dynamic team. As Financial Controller you will manage a large team, supporting business growth and profitability through strong financial controls and governance, while working extremely closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. This role will offer autonomy for you to make an impact and add immediate value. You will be working in a results driven and fast paced environment, within a business that is on track for significant expansion both through acquisition and organic growth. You will be a strong leader who can demonstrate the ability to drive change and impact the profitability of the business. Your duties will include: Deliver accurate and timely month end accounts for organisation including P&L, Balance Sheet and KPI’s. Understand the key drivers within the business and manage appropriate KPI’s and Management Information to support decision making and positively influence financial, commercial and operational efficiency. Own the annual statutory reporting, tax computation, monthly VAT in line with required timescales. Prepare annual budgets and forecasts. Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts Support and work closely with the wider business in their development of financial awareness Ensure a robust financial and operational control regime operates effectively across the businesses and be proactive in seeking ways to improve this. Mentor and develop a finance team of 15 individuals. Manage external relationships with the banks and auditors, establishing themselves as the finance point of contact for any queries.
