Michael Page are currently recruiting for an interim Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity to support a Public Sector organisation through a period of transition. The role will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities. Managing the finance department staff in day-to-day operations. Client Details The client is a leading Public Sector organisation, with offices nationally. They are going through a period of transition and need assistance. There is a strong possibility the interim Financial Controller may be extended at the Preston Office. Description The key responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller are: Oversee all company accounts and investments Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations Profile To be successful in applying for the interim Financial Controller you will be: Immediately available Qualified Accountant Experience in all the above Desire to work in the Public Sector Job Offer £46,000 - £55,000 Parking Possibility of an extension
