Overview

Newly created Senior Procurement Manager position with a large Public-Sector organisation paying circa £65,000 Your new company You will be working for a national public-sector organisation who provide essential services to the public. Your new role You will be leading on Public-Sector tenders at both OJEU and Sub-OJEU level across Professional Services categories. Your key duties will be as follows: Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the pre and post procurement cycle, including stakeholder engagement, market analysis, supplier selection and contractual awareness are planned and managed. Managing the delivery of procurement initiatives and the resources to one or more delivery teams setting team and individual objectives managing performances to ensure the best outcomes for projects and or programmes both pre and post contract Working closely with stakeholders to address and analyse the needs of the business both pre- and post- contract to come up with effective solutions and plans to enable projects and programmes to have a consistent approach Applying contractual expertise in order to provide advice around procurement both pre and post contract, helping to resolve any issues to ensure HE is compliant and effective in this area Full line management responsibility for the team ensuring skills are developed, effective performance management and motivation to ensure a high performing team. What you'll need to succeed You will have prior experience of working within the public sector in a procurement management position running intricate OJEU level tenders. Category specific experience within Professional Services is highly desired and would be favoured. You will have proven experience of leading/managing a commercial team and a ideally full MCIPS qualification. What you'll get in return You will be very generously paid depending on experience a salary up to £65,000 which is higher than average for the local market.
