Ideally you will have worked in the finance department of a retail company or similar, have used Sage and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Role: Working in a busy team ensuring the prompt processing of all incoming documents, ensuring weekly payment runs are signed off in accordance with bank mandates and controls. Tasks: Accounts Payable Processing approved invoices on a daily basis Weekly Payment runs (Bacs, Intl Wires, cheques) Ensure rent, rates utility bills are actioned on a timely basis Reconciling Vendor accounts on a bi-monthly basis Setting up new Vendor accounts in Sage Liaising with vendors regarding invoice payment enquiries and discrepancies Monitoring Cash forecast for payments Allocation of direct debit payments to vendor accounts Printing off invoices from mail box for all international suppliers Treasury Performing monthly bank reconciliations Completing the daily upload of bank statements Maintain bank reconciliation clearing accounts on a daily basis Other Supporting International team members including area managers on queries Assist with month end closure of International accounts Sending monthly sales figures to landlords Assisting GL Team with information for cash flow reporting Responsibility for two stock suppliers based in Portugal The Person Experience in the Accounting Function of a mid to large business (£50m) is preferred Experience in a retail environment is preferred Working knowledge on Sage system is preferred Vibrant Personality Adaptable to change Exceptional organisation and communication skills Salary: £24,000 to £28,000
