Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions are currently recruiting for a Undergraduate to join our Nottingham office for 12 months starting in July 2020 Would you like to be part of a multi-national company, producing software that actually makes a difference? We have an opening for a Student keen to learn and gain experience working with insurance industry leaders. You will be working within one of the most important parts of our business, the UK&I Platform team. UK&I Platform team is a multi-skilled team comprising of Software Engineers, System Engineers and QA working in an agile environment. This is a chance to explore large infrastructure builds including automation, support and maintenance as well as software development, deployment processes and releasing into a production environment. Qualities we are looking for: An interest in infrastructure automation An interest in software development An open mind ready to learn Someone wanting to get stuck in Useful skills: PHP (some Java would be a bonus), Python, Yaml Some experience of working with a cloud provider Version Control - Specifically GIT You will be heavily involved and learning about all parts of a successful company - from understanding and agreeing specifications with project managers, through designing and building systems to meet that specification, testing and promoting, and finally seeing your work go into the live environment and directly affecting what we do.
