Our client, an award-winning accountancy practice in Maidenhead, is recruiting for and Accounts & Audit Trainee to join this highly successful practice that provides accounting, audit, tax and advisory services to ambitious owner managed businesses in the Thames Valley region. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated person to train in accountancy and the successful candidate will be signed up to the AAT apprenticeship scheme. As Accounts & Audit Trainee, you will receive training in the following areas: Preparation of period end financial statements for companies, partnerships, sole-traders and LLPs Attending year end audits to complete field work and stock takes, with occassional overnight stays Involvement in specific projects if required including budgeting, due diligence Develop knowledge of different software to extract information and provide clients with assistance where required Regular interaction with clients and building relationships to ensure work is completed on a timely basis Keeping up to date with the chosen internal accounting software packages to provide support and training both to the internal team and clients As this is a trainee accounts role you will not be excepted to "hit the ground running", although some accounting experience would be an advantage. You will be trained in-house and provided with AAT Level 2 training with all costs paid for by the client. To be considered for this opportunity, you will satisfy the following: Excellent GCSE and A levels grades Have a 'can do’ attitude with a high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Good communication skills - both verbal and written Good at managing deadlines and workload prioritisation ('multi-tasking’) Be confident and able to work as part of a team but also individually Enthusiastic to embrace and utilise new technology - cloud platform Commitment to learning Strong computer skills - 'paperless office’ - familiar with MS Office suite Have a full driving licence for client visits and must live within a commutable distance of Maidenhead In return for your skills and commitment, this well-established practice will offer a competitive salary, full AAT study package, ongoing support in the workplace and a friendly working environment.
