Job SpecificationSenior CAD Technician - BridgesRef: VR/35675/JMAbout this Role:A leading infrastructure consultancy are looking to recruit an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join their Bridges Engineering team based at their York office. You will be working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to new build, bridge replacement and repair, as well as bridge detailing projects. Supporting the Bridge Engineering team, you will be responsible for producing detailed designs using CAD software according to the relevant design standards. Furthermore, you will be mentoring and supervising Junior CAD Technicians, assisting in their technical development as engineers.Additionally, you be producing detailed drawings for new build and refurbishment of steel and concrete bridge structures. As such, project experience producing detailed designs of reinforced concrete using CAD or MicroStation is required.The ideal candidate must also have proven experience working to Network Rail CAD Standards. Additionally, you must possess an extensive experience using CAD systems to apply CAD procedures and standards.This role will be based at the consultancys York office. Job Requirements: Knowledge of Network Rail CAD StandardsProficient using MicroStation, AutoCAD and other CAD platformsExperience of reinforced concrete detailingProject experience working on new build, bridge replacement and bridge repair and strengthening detailing.
