Fox at Loxley Community Pub Manager or Managing couple NOTE: This role is on hold due to the Covid 19 virus, please do apply and we will contact you once we start recruiting. The Fox at Loxley is being bought to be run as a community owned pub which has big ambitions for its future. We are currently seeking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic individual or Manager/Chef couple to lead a small team of paid staff and large pool of volunteers to continue with the development of our community-owned pub. This opportunity will demand hard work and commitment but managing Warwickshire’s newest community owned village pub will be enormously rewarding for the right candidate. Responsibilities To be responsible for overseeing the running of The Fox at Loxley and for managing, training and developing the team, with the key aim of retaining and attracting the support of the community, to build sales and profitability. Monitoring and reporting profitability and performance to ensure agreed sales targets are met or exceeded Work with the Treasurer to ensure best financial practice and due probity Recruiting, training and managing staff and volunteers For Customers and Driving Up Business To deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management at all times Organise events or liaise with community members organising events such as themed food nights, live music, comedy nights, quizzes etc Promote to customers that The Fox at Loxley is a community run pub and actively engage in and develop new ideas to promote the uniqueness of a ‘Community Owned Pub” Work to ensure the relationships with suppliers are established and maintained and that the suppliers used offer best value to the pub Be committed to the idea of community ownership of a pub and the benefits it can bring and be comfortable working with and reporting to a Committee elected by the community the pub serves Be friendly, sociable and welcoming to our customers Hold a Personal License for a licensed premises There is a 2 bedroom flat above the pub that can be included as part of the package To find out more about our Community Pub please visit our website This job was originally posted as www.caterer.com/job/89862441
