Complex Needs Support Workers required- are you interested in Speech and Language Therapy? Perhaps you are studying this subject and need direct hands on experience… Rehabilityuk are currently setting up a brand new supported living service in Gloucester for a gentleman who is profoundly deaf and has autism. John uses a combination of British Sign Language/Makaton to communicate and has an in depth, expert knowledge of retro lighting and electricals. John is extremely talented and loves to make his own lightshades…he is a fantastic person to support and this is an amazing opportunity to support John to settle into his new home and live his best life Are you the ideal person to support John as he settles into his new home? Our staff support people with autism and learning disabilities to live their lives to the full, promoting independence and getting out and about locally. Experience is preferred but not essential. Full communication training will be provided, including comprehensive Makaton training. We provide further thorough training including completion of the Care Certificate and NVQ level 3.
