Overview
We are looking for a Mortgage Specialist to join this City Private Bank in London. The primary objective of the role is the provision of high quality, compliant mortgage advice to the bank’s high net worth customers, in a timely and customer focussed manner. This includes but is not limited to conducting mortgage fact find meetings, proactively managing the customer experience from application to issue of mortgage offer letter, producing the required paperwork, updating customer records, presenting the recommendation to the customer, obtaining quality assurance and credit sanction and co-ordinating with Lending Operations re the issue of the offer letter. You will be the point of contact with clients during the mortgage process. Obtain and maintain an Individual Certificate of Fitness and Propriety that will be issued by the bank annually. The bank will set such conditions as may be required by the PRA/FCA or market/best practice for the award of a Certificate of Fitness from time to time Conduct mortgage fact find meetings with customers Proactively manage the customer experience from first meeting to issue of mortgage offer letter, fully understand the customers’ mortgage needs and priorities to provide a compliant and suitable mortgage recommendation Identify broader requirements such as assurance and insurance policies and wills and pass this information to the relationship manager Produce all necessary mortgage paperwork for the customer, quality assurance, credit risk and lending operations Keep the relationship manager informed of progress on a regular basis Keep up to date with regulatory and industry developments in the mortgage and wider financial markets To apply you need to have a minimum of five GCSE’s grade A-C (including Maths and English) or equivalent qualification and CeMAP (Level 3) Willing to work towards Level 4 mortgage qualification. Due to the current news my client is looking now but will not be starting candidates until we know abit more of time scale with Covid-19, unless someone is not already employed.
