Overview

Technical Delivery Manager This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Technical Delivery Manager to join the Data & Analytics team. They will take a lead role in the product management of our new Analytics Data Platform (ADaPt) and the technical delivery of a roadmap of data and analytics projects. This role will also help to exploit our platform capabilities to deliver proof of technologies for Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence that have the potential to deliver high value use cases Key responsibilities Ensure there is robust oversight of the platform's service and support model including regular review of our third party's support arrangements. Define, track and analyse key platform usage, adoption, and performance metrics - including security and costs - to Manage the ongoing application release roadmap to ensure timely defect resolution as well as drive the development and release of platform capabilities. Manage data assets ensuring the active and on-going management through their lifecycle: ingest, store, prepare, transform, publish, archive. Work closely with the Data & Analytics Manager and Data Architect to collect, analyse and build a roadmap of prioritised used cases and requirements that includes proof of concepts, proof of technologies and full production solutions. Working with senior stakeholders and their teams to understand business problems and data requirements. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and implement robust solutions using best-practice processes to assure the delivery through all stages including testing, release and into support. Effectively matrix manage members of the Data & Analytics team, resources from other teams, contractors and suppliers as appropriate to ensure timely delivery. Essential Skills & Experience Demonstrable experience of managing complex projects in an analytics or data driven environment working with cross functional teams (e.g. architecture, testing, network) to deliver solutions through to successful implementation using both agile and waterfall delivery approaches. Proficiency in one or more key software languages: Python, SQL, Scala, Java Strong knowledge of data preparation, data modelling, data transformation, ETL/ELT, data warehousing and dealing with large sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. A good technical understanding of big data and cloud computing. More specifically, experience with AWS services and serverless architecture e.g. S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Lambda, Glue, Athena. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation tools (e.g. AWS CloudFormation) and continuous integration continuous development (CI/CD) principles. Awareness of cloud security best practice including monitoring, alerting, alarms and logs: e.g. AWS CloudTrail, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Shield. Solid understanding of data lifecycle management and the requirements of GDPR and other relevant legislation as they relate to data and analytics.
