An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Assistant to join a Top 10 firm based in Liverpool. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join a firm that can offer genuine opportunities for progression. As an Audit Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of audit for a varied portfolio of clients. This will include supporting client facing audit teams, quality assurance of audit set up and mentoring other members within the team This is a varied and interesting role that is best suited to a candidate with proven experience from a similar position. Qualified AAT, part qualified ACCA / ACA or QBE candidates will also be considered for this position. Working within a large team and reporting into the Team Manager, the Audit Assistant will be responsible for: Support regional client facing audit teams with multiple aspects of the annual audit process by Providing Quality Assurance of audit file set up, report generation, use of a derivative valuation software and casting and consistency reviews of financial statements Mentoring and supervising more junior members of the Audit Hub Becoming involved in training new Hub Assistants to perform audit file set up Work extensively with BDO’s proprietary audit support systems and processes Deal with internal queries with colleagues and teams across BDO UK Provide support to other colleague teams dependent upon seasonality of core work Assist in the promotion and development of the service offering of the Audit Support hub Essential Requirements are: AAT Qualified / Part Qualified ACCA or ACA / QBE Relevant audit or accounts work experience Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional level of communication - both verbal and written Good time management, organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision Ability to work well in a team environment - mentoring/supervising experience is advantageous Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach If you have all of the above requirements for the Audit Assistant position, then please apply now using the link below.
