Overview

This is an overview of the role: Homes England have been allocated £5bn in Affordable Housing (AH) budget to deliver starts by 2021. This role is key to delivery of the Compliance Audit and wider assurance of the AH programme and is part of a flexible core team. This role will: - Deliver compliance audit and assurance processes and the associated IT support systems (with support from IT and systems colleagues) to deliver compliance audit - contribute to the coordination of the programme of compliance checks across the AH programmes - work with colleagues to deliver compliance audit checks and report on progress and outcomes The successful person will be responsible for: Maintaining and managing processes for the Compliance Audit to provide assurance of the AH grant programmes Advising and guiding partners and their auditors/advisors through system/process requirements to enable completion of Compliance Audit and contribute to the training programme Ensuring the timely accurate and efficient processing of Compliance Audit to provide assurances of the AH programmes against timescales and assurance framework Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with external providers and their auditors to ensure delivery Working with wider Homes England colleagues to ensure effective delivery and sign off of affordable housing compliance In order to complete the responsibilities for this role, the successful candidate will have: Relevant experience, professional qualification or appropriate degree Knowledge of the key current policy issues affecting affordable housing sector Experience of assurance, key systems and processes, excellent analysis skills Ambitions about implementing new approaches and best industry solutions
