Overview
An international renowned animal charity is seeking an engaging and dynamic finalist or fully qualified accountant to partner with the conservation programmes overseas. You will act as the trusted advisor to several programmes, working with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient financial planning, reporting, grant management and support bids/proposals for new funding/projects. Key responsibilities will include: Working with country programmes to develop budgets and multiyear plans in line with organisation strategy Working closely with international finance team and senior stakeholders in country programmes to implement/update policies, procedures and systems Supporting project management of year end processes for country programmes and provide support for internal and external audit Working with country teams to build capacity including delivering training and coaching to both finance and non-finance staff Developing and implementing financial processes to ensure effective consolidation of financial information and management reporting Provide expert grant financial management to programmes Develop and implement finance procedures inline with organisation’s global strategy. Support Programme Managers with financial aspects of preparing new bid/proposals for funding and budgets for projects. Identifying and mitigating operational and financial risk The ideal candidate will have good exposure to restricted funding and donor reporting/compliance (ideally DFID) in either an audit or charity/non-profit setting. You will be a finalist/fully CCAB qualified accountant with a passion for improving financial capacity and processes.
