Overview

A luxury kitchen provider has an exciting opportunity for a Factory Maintenance Engineer / Caretaker to join their team based in Sidcup, Kent. The company's craftsmen combine skills and expertise with the latest CNC engineering technology to produce top quality furniture, whilst their experienced Designers design kitchens around their client's lifestyle, using the principles of Dynamic Space to optimise storage, so their clients get the stylish designer kitchens they're looking for. Their factory and offices occupy 65,000 ft² and comprises CNC machinery, compressed air, extraction and heating systems with integrated telephone, security and fire alarm systems. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Factory Maintenance Engineer / Caretaker to join their team. Responsibilities: Providing day to day operational support to their buildings, facilities and machinery Maintenance and installation of new equipment to factory, offices and site premises Providing first stage preventative maintenance and diagnose of faults Liaise with support engineers and contractors when attending site for preventative and breakdown maintenance. Maintaining service reports and proactive intervention to optimise machine productivity and equipment Proactively managing and using a range of tooling and equipment Operating a fork truck Upholding the excellent health and safety record of the company About you: Full UK Driving Licence for driving cars and light vans Ability to operate a fork truck Good electrical and plumbing knowledge Ability to proactively manage and use a range of tooling and equipment Familiarity with machines, motors and 3 phase electrics A practical, hands-on and logical approach to problem-solving Prompt resolution with factory machinery, equipment, offices, showroom and facilities Good communication skills and record management in oral and written English language is essential Systematic and logical work approach as part of the production team Ability to complete general decorative and carpentry maintenance, tiling A keen eye for detail and quality finish As no relocation fees will be provided, they can only accept applications from candidates eligible to live and work in the UK.
