Overview
Financial Divisions are delighted to be supporting a Chartered Boutique Wealth Planner, Asset Manager and Employee Benefits specialist in their search for a Paraplanner. This permanent part-time role is for 30 hours a week, split across 4 or 5 days, and is suitable for a Diploma-qualified (or working towards) Paraplanner with 18 months’ experience in an IFA setting. It is a newly created role to provide paraplanning support to a successful Private Client Director who is currently delivering their own paraplanning work. For this position, you will be Diploma-qualified or working towards a Diploma-level qualification with at least 18 months experience in a paraplanning role. You will need to understand the principles of asset allocation and portfolio construction, have excellent knowledge of investment, life and pensions products and current legislation, have knowledge of Income Tax, CGT, IHT, Trusts and both DC and DB pension transfers and understand the importance and benefits of lifetime cashflow modelling. You will be producing comprehensive and clear suitability letters for clients, gathering and analysing comprehensive, detailed information on clients from the advisers, researching and interpreting this information as required under the supervision of the team’s senior Technical Consultant. You will prepare client meetings and attend meetings where requested by the adviser, taking detailed written notes and following up on any technical points after any meetings attended and you will also prepare lifetime cashflow models. I am looking for someone to be a resourceful and creative problem solver, capable of embracing the role quickly and progressing to working largely unsupervised. Part time Paraplanner London £30-40k (pro rata) plus excellent benefits with a discretionary bonus scheme.
