Systems RTL Verification Engineer Location: Manchester Salary: Competitive bonus package Your new company Our client is the leading global provider of energy-efficient processor designs that are enabling the intelligence in 100 billion silicon chips and securely powering products from the sensor to the Smartphone to the supercomputer. Your new role You will be working in a highly focused group within Central Engineering Systems Development team in Manchester, where you will help verify our next generation compute systems using state of the art technologies, methodologies and tools. You will work closely with architects and other design, verification and implementation engineers and will be expected to support less experienced engineers. Key responsibilities As a senior verification engineer with a knowledge of subsystems and SoCs you will lead a team tasked with verifying functional correctness of compute subsystems You will work with the project team to understand design specifications and create a functional verification strategy. Your key responsibilities will include creating test plans, defining test methodologies, and completing verification to the required quality levels and schedules. You will also work on developing and enhancing the verification methodologies used by the team. You will work closely with Project Management on planning tasks, setting schedules and milestones, and tracking the progress of verification activities. You will guide other members of the team as needed to enable the successful completion of project activities. You will work closely with other teams on the design microarchitecture, verification methodologies, system performance, etc. What you'll need to succeed You will need experience of RTL verification for complex ASIC products & SoCs You possess the knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts You are experienced in one or more of various verification methodologies - UVM/OVM/eRM, formal, low power, emulation You have the knowledge of assembly language, C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages e.g. (SystemVerilog, Specman 'e'), shell programming/scripting (e.g. Tcl Perl, Python etc.) You have the exposure to all stages of verification: requirements gathering, creation of verification methodology plans, testplans, testbench implementation, testcase development, documentation and support You will have the ability to work under time-scale pressure and meet bold targets without compromising on quality You have the understanding of the fundamentals of system architectures You will have practical experience of working on Processor based system designs What you'll get in return We have an excellent track record of building up expertise in people, so this is a great opportunity to learn something new and interesting in a friendly and collaborative environment.
