Overview
Waking night support worker needed in Chester area - support with homeless, drug and alcohol, mental health Your new company I am working with a number of homelessness services in the Chester area and am now looking for 2 waking night support workers to complete shifts on a temporary ad-hoc basis. We cover shifts each week in different locations depending on sicknesses, annual leave and unfilled vacancies. Your new role You will be supporting in various services in the area, primarily supporting those who are at risk of being homeless, those without secure accommodation and people sleeping rough. You will offer advice and signpost to relevant services. You will ensure safety of service users and support them to be independent. Some service users suffer from mental health conditions as well as have drug and alcohol dependency. You will be empathetic and someone they can trust and rely on. What you'll need to succeed I am looking for someone with empathy, someone who is organised and has a willingness to learn. For this role you will have an understanding of the issues affecting Homeless Customers and excellent communication skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, providing quality information, ensuring a positive Customer experience providing on site assurance and support. You will be solution focus and have an ability to problem solve issues and incidents involving the customers. Ideally you will drive although this is not essential.
