A Yorkshire law firm with a strong reputation within the market is currently seeing a Solicitor to join its corporate team. Based in Leeds City Centre, our client is regarded as one of the most successful law firms in the UK and have won numerous awards. They pride themselves on having a straightforward and personable approach and are a firm that really values the relationships that they have with their clients. They have a reputation for really encouraging their lawyers to be the best that they can. Also, there is no way that you will be able to hide away from clients within this firm as they will give you plenty of opportunity to interact with them directly. In the past 6 months the team have been incredibly busy, bringing in more business and new clients and are therefore looking for a new addition to the team. This really is a great time to be joining them. Joining a fantastic and supportive team you will gain exposure to top quality work and deal with high value transactions. You will work on a real broad range of corporate matters including but not limited to; merger and acquisition transactions, public takeovers, tender offers, IPOs, secondary issues (both equity and debt), share buy-backs and corporate reorganisations and demergers to name a few. Established team consisting of both experienced solicitors which you can work closely with and learn from alongside juniors who can provide support when needed. There is the opportunity to take on some additional commercial work alongside this corporate caseload if you wish, although there is no compunction to do so The firm is ideally looking for someone between 2-8 years PQE but are flexible and candidates that fall outside of this bracket are encouraged to apply. There ideal is to find someone who can pick up an existing caseload and run with it under minimal supervision. It would suit someone who perhaps has a glass ceiling where they are and are looking for a bit of blue sky. They are also very happy to train more junior lawyers who may have qualified in the past few years, it is more about finding the right person. This is a genuine career opportunity for someone who doesn't want a glass ceiling and is really looking to progress within corporate law.
