Overview

Our client based in Caerphilly are looking to appoint a Project Tracking Researcher to support future growth within the business. Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the role will require you to generate new project opportunities through predominantly desk based research, internet and telephone. The ideal person will be smart, driven, well organised, self-motivated with excellent administration skills. Part of the role will be to support the set-up of a new system so enthusiasm and attention to detail is essential Main Responsibilities: Generate new project opportunities via internet-based research and databases Gather & verify initial background information on all projects by researching and outbound calling relevant companies involved in the projects, inputting the information accurately into the project tracking system Identify clients, relevant consultants and main contractors associated with each live project, updating database, including tender lists where known Liaise on a project basis with external representatives to ensure all project leads have a clear strategy and are followed through to sub-contractor out to tender stage Aid business development through close customer communication, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided Provide administration support to the external representatives where necessary Taking ownership of gathering early project stage information is essential, recording project and sales involvement using IT systems. Accurate information and new opportunities will be measured and monitored by set KPI's Occasional customer visits are an expected additional element to the position, developing key relationships along with regular attendance to off-site monthly coordination meetings with external sales. Record and log all new project enquiries onto IFS system and distribute requirement through to the appropriate team To meet agreed targets, KPIs and deadlines Essential Attributes: Exceptional analytical and listening skills Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and relationship skills Influencing skills and negotiation Initiative Planning and organisation skills Commercial awareness Ability to meet deadlines Lead generating Qualifications A level standard education Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word) Experience in Construction industry ideally within a research/heavy administration environment. Full Drivers License Part of this role will involve travelling to HO in Doncaster and other sites within the group at the beginning. This is in order to liaise with the IT department to set up systems. There after ongoing monthly Sales co-ordination meetings. Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday-Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.
