Your opportunity Deloitte are the lead providers of audit and related services to charities, and there is a vacancy for a Manager to work within our fast expanding not for profit practice, in our centre of excellence in London. Our clients include some of the UK’s largest and most interesting charities, membership organisations and other not-for-profit organisations and the services we provide to them are varied with opportunity to take part in interesting projects. We are looking for an individual who is a motivated team player and wants to take an active part in developing this business. This entails attendance at charity sector events and marketing. Your role Responsibilities Leading and managing the audit team in the field Day to day client contact during field work Liaising with key client staff, providing timely reporting and attending meetings Ensuring completion of audits/projects within agreed timescales Managing assignments — staff allocation, client time tables, cost recovery and billing Drafting final documents for partner review Participation in other not for profit audit projects Auditing and reviewing accounts drafted under UK GAAP and Charity SORP 15 Development of junior members of field team Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Your work, your choice How long does impact take? Location: This role will primarily be based in the Deloitte London office. Your professional experience ACA or equivalent Charities audit experience Strong academic background Up to date knowledge of current accounting standards Basic understanding of tax issues Up to date on current economic and market trends Able to develop strong client relationships to be seen as a primary point of contact within Deloitte Able to identify new work opportunities Highly proficient in written and oral communication Able to work independently as well as part of a team Capable of delegating tasks and responsibilities Positive and ambitious attitude Your Service Line Audit & Assurance In an industry best known for looking back, Deloitte looks beyond.
