Overview

We are working on an exclusive and retained basis to place a dynamic Finance/Commercial Director in to a well established company who have seen a period of significant organic and acquisitive growth over the past five years. A leader in their specialist industry, they have created this new position to join the ambitious Senior Management Team and work collaboratively to continue to drive the company forward. The business has operations throughout the UK, as well as overseas, with potential to expand in to further territories on a longer term basis. There is an attractive package on offer, with a highly competitive bonus scheme that compliments a generous basic salary and car allowance. As Commercial Director, you will have responsibility for the Finance, Procurement and IT functions and will report to and work closely with the Managing Director to ensure all functions are working efficiently and in a way that will accommodate the ongoing growth that the company is enjoying. Key responsibilities: • Senior leadership of the finance function, reporting and analysis; • Driving purchasing and supply chain efficiencies; • Ensuring efficient running and development of IT and ERP systems and supporting with systems migration • Supporting the sales team on commercial contract negotiation, tendering, implementation and management; and • Appraisal and due diligence of potential acquisitions activity. Person Specification: We are looking for an individual with a strong financial background and supporting Finance Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). You will need to have vast experience managing a finance function, as well as managing/working closely with other business areas, within a multi site organisation. You must be well versed in providing review, analysis and recommendations with regards to the financials of commercial contracts, as well as in supporting with contract negotiations to ensure business objectives are met. We are looking for an enterprising and driven personality with a customer-focused mindset, who will embrace the values of the wider group and bring a level of passion to the role that will match that of the existing team and contribute to the attainment of the organisation's strategic and growth objectives. Ideally you will also have experience in new business set up, acquisition and integration and will have a track record of playing a key role in supporting the success of the wider sales strategy.
