Overview

The Company We are delighted to be working with a leading food manufacturer within the Teesside area, who have been trading for the past 35 years. They are currently experiencing a rapid period of growth and require additional support within the Quality Control Department. Although this position is initially temporary there is the potential of it being more long-term progressing to permanent. Full job spec - duties, experience, training, and qualifications required: To help and support the hygiene and Quality department, flexibility is a must to be able to cover clean downs, including nightshifts. Duties will include: · Post Hygiene micro swabbing (sponge swabs/stick swabs), logging the swabs for collection by the lab · ATP swabbing · Allergen rapid swabs · Glass & plastic audits · GMP audits · Probe Calibrations · Scale calibrations · Monitor cold store temperatures and issue corrective actions · Log Micro/sensory samples for collection by the lab · Collection water samples and logging · Batch Paperwork audits · Quality/Hygiene admin support · Other tasks as required by the hygiene / Quality Managers Attitude, skills, personal qualities: · Able to operate to a high level of efficiency against precise targets · Ideally have experience of working within quality control and hygiene departments · Good written and communication skills · Good interpersonal skills in order to achieve effective liaison with contractors, SHE staff &QC staff. · Minimum skills profile in process operations and be IT literate (MS word and excel). · Ability to maintain concentration at irregular times of day and perform repetitive tasks to a high standard of compliance Hours of work: Must be available to work between 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am including weekends. 8 hour shifts and a minimum of 30 hours per week.
