Overview

This is an exciting time to join Wrexham Council Social Care, we have restructured, creating key roles to join a well-established, senior management structure. We are seeking three experienced and enthusiastic Heads of Service with drive and commitment. A primary focus for Children’s Social Care in Wales is preventative care, supporting families through an holistic approach. The Head of Service – Care and Support is a pivotal role for Wrexham Council, ensuring that the most appropriate support for children and their families is in place to work together for the best outcomes. If you are appointed, you will set a clear vision for Care and Support services in Wrexham; inspiring employees to deliver excellent outcomes whether this is through initial contact at the Single Point of Access, providing vital support through the Assessment and Intervention Team or working with partner services and stakeholders in Family Centres.
