Overview
This role will be based in the Specialist\nInvestigations team dealing with contentious insolvency cases within the London\nRestructuring Advisory Department. The team focus on fraud and asset tracing\ncases. To profitably lead/manage a substantial portfolio of clients, ensuring both\nexcellent client service and making a significant contribution towards the\noverall future development and success of the team, office, and firm. To be able to perform a lead role in insolvency assignments in both liquidation\nand bankruptcy cases. This will require an individual with very good quality\nanalytical and report writing abilities as well as strong interpersonal and\nmanagement skills. Able to identify\nand develop opportunities for the office/firm, contributing actively in\ndeveloping the office/practice Has a proven track\nrecord and reputation that can be sold to clients and demonstrates a proven\nability to win work and contribute significantly to the profitability of the\nfirm Able to develop a\nstrong and valuable network of external contacts Develops and implements marketing strategies About the Role To plan assignments in\n accordance with the Firm's standard procedures and relevant statutory and\n extra statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangements with the client,\n company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements. To brief staff (including\n those based in other offices working on the assignment) on the client's\n business and the pre assignment instructions, to supervise and control the\n completion of work and to undertake ‘on the job' training and appraisals\n where appropriate. To ensure that the job is\n completed within budget, and to discuss all materials points arising with\n the assignment partner and client or appointer immediately, particularly\n in relation to any anticipated overruns, or significant changes in likely\n outcome. In doing so demonstrates sound professional judgement. To liaise with the\n creditors, directors and other interested parties throughout the\n appointment/assignment and to practise the principles of excellent client\n service at all times. The role will include the briefing of legal advisors\n and close working with them during litigation matters. Demonstrates active\n leadership in client service and is seen as a trusted advisor. To ensure that\n appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, and to develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's\nspecialist services, and to undertake special work in response to client needs\nwhere appropriate. Is able to spot opportunities for the firm as a whole. To perform the firm's\n senior staff review procedures, ensuring that all points raised are\n adequately and promptly actioned. To monitor assignments to\n establish and achieve the earliest and most efficient completion of the\n appointment. To closely monitor the\n profitability and recoverability of work in progress and to bill clients\n on a timely basis. To maintain an advanced\n level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses and\n to fulfil the Institute's CPE requirements. Acting as a role model in\n developing regulatory, risk and compliance standards. To assist in\n recruitment, training and marketing activities as required. Attend staff meetings\n and training as required. Maintain an awareness\n and observation of Health and Safety issues within the Firm, and report\n any concerns to the Health and Safety Representative. Carry out any other\n duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title\n of the role and its grading, as requested by the Head of Department.
