Overview
Are you an experienced ships agent, looking to make your next career move and join a large, well established shipping company with offices nationwide? We are looking to speak to ships agents in Southampton who are looking to join a friendly team & to work a fair rota, to re-address work / life balance. If you are passionate about all things ships & ports, this is the role for you. The Role: Primarily you will be responsible for ensuring the safe & efficient delivery of port agency activities to customers & vessel owners in and around the Port of Southampton & along the South Coast. You will be responsible for the safe arrival & turnaround of vessels of all sizes carrying a variety of cargo, dealing with various port authorities, arranging pilotage and berthing space. Managing immigration compliance and dealing with any needs of the ships captain & crew in the way of medical appointments or assisting in replenishing ships stores. Essential Criteria: Full British Driving Licence Able to be flexible with working hours, including weekends & Bank Holidays Good attention to detail A ‘can do’ attitude Port Agent | Ships Agency | Shipping About the Company: Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent ship agents and ship brokers, with an excellent reputation both as a service provider and as an employer.
