Overview
We are looking for a Management Accountant Manager to join a company based in Bracknell. Responsibilities: Creating the bridge between Finance and the business to support them with financial and commercial queries and decisions. Supporting the Financial Controller and various departments within the business with operational decisions, whilst understanding the financial impact of these. Decisions focused around SGA activity and effective utilisation of budget spend. Carry out ad-hoc reporting and analysis using statistical and financial information when required. Responsible for month-end actuals reporting, plus the budgeting and planning process for the UK submission Delivering accurate monthly SGA reporting to be included in the P&L submission to the parent company analysing variances against budget. Remaining budget analysis, to include consideration of future risks relating to over/underspends. Support the cost centre managers with variance analysis Coordinate and prepare quarterly budgets and support longer-term plans: Create and own the SGA plan for the completion of the budget. Provide commercial input to support business for budget planning Review for reasonableness and challenge the business where appropriate. Responsible for accurate submission of approved budgets Review and calculation of spend across the various business divisions within the UK Key contributor towards the development of financial reporting within the businesses. Provide ad hoc analysis and investigations proactively when required on all SGA related queries. Drive accountability for and monitor progress towards achievement of targets through preparation of PDCA reviews and regular meetings with the business. Drive best practice, efficiencies, change and strategy Play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function including the use and further adoption of Hyperion Planning (MARS) within the HUK business. Act as a consultant providing specialist expertise on all system improvements from an SGA perspective. Key contact to the business on queries relating to several systems, including issue resolution, approval hierarchies and best practices. To be considered: CIMA/ACCA/ACA part or newly qualified Proactive approach and determination to resolve issues Good analytical and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of reporting under IAS is an advantage Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Self-motivated and proactive, with a 'can-do' attitude Strong system skills SAP and Excel knowledge would prove advantageous Ability to communicate effectively at all levels By applying you will be registered as a candidate with Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited.
