Overview
Management Accountant Section Manager - Bracknell – Permanent - £48k Excellent opportunity to join the European division of this global brand in a diverse, challenging and progressive role. The environment is fast paced and dynamic in driving continuous improvement - it requires an individual with technically strong management accounting skills; the ability to analyse data quickly; refined business partnering experience and commercially astute to identify and help deliver profit improvements. The role will have responsibility for one direct report as well as working closely with the FC to deliver highly efficient departmental support to the business. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of the Actual results and Budget and planning process for divisional submissions, including ownership for delivering accurate monthly P&L, Financial Controller review, analysing variances against budget, month end reporting packs and preparation of quarterly budget and divisional mid-term plans. Responsible for providing objective Business financial support and advising on cost/profitability detail where improvements could be made. Undertaking monthly reviews with cost centre managers to provide insight and support of the financial impacts of all commercial business decisions taken by the Business plus continuous improvement of department processes. Drive best practice, efficiencies, change and strategy throughout the division, acting as a finance change agent to the business on divisional projects working closely with the System Accountant section manager. Line management responsibilities of AP Accounts Coordinator, playing an active role in coaching, mentoring and development Qualifications, skills and experience: Finalist / newly Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA Experience working in a multinational corporate organisation with matrix management SAP and Excel with high level knowledge is a must Oracle Hyperion and Cognos TM1 knowledge preferred IFRS accounting knowledge preferred Tax knowledge preferred A technically able accountant, with a good understanding of business in general, with commercial awareness and experience Well-developed level of communication, networking and presentation skills Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role.
