Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a Global Blue-chip brand based at the UK Head office in Bracknell. As the Management Accountant your responsibilities will include: Main Responsibilities: Business Partnering Primary Finance contact for this business division and corresponding relationship management. Creating the bridge between Finance and the business to support them in all financial and commercial queries and decisions. Ability to interact credibly and independently with senior managers in the business. Carry out ad-hoc reporting and analysis using statistical and financial information when required. Full ownership of the financial integrity, management and analysis for this business area. Responsible for delivering accurate monthly P&Ls for submission to the parent company, analysing variances against budget. Coordinate and prepare quarterly budgets and longer-term plans: Create and own the plan for the completion of the budget. Provide commercial input into budgeting strategies and initiatives. Review of reconciliations performed by the SSC and completion of reconciliations for review by the Financial Controller. Present monthly P&Ls to UK Senior Management, explaining all variances to budget and highlighting risks and opportunities. Play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function including the use and further adoption of Hyperion Planning within the UK business. Responsible for UK's continued compliance with SOx and all Statutory regulation requirements. Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable: Qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA Demonstrate capability to take ownership of all commercial financial aspects for this business division. A technically competent and commercial accountant; strong communication; comfortable working with a variety of people across the UK and European HQ Previous experience in a commercial/management accounting role.
