We are recruiting a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for monitoring all the operational aspects of the quality system and using relevant quality tools to support business activities to improve the operational effectiveness of the quality system. You will be responsible for implementing the quality system on the shop floor, managing non-conforming material and driving Continuous Improvement to elevate the overall quality of our products. As Quality Engineer, you will; · Use six sigma continuous improvement techniques to implement suitable corrective / preventive actions to reduce quality issues. · Communicate with and co-ordinate the activities of the relevant departments to ensure compliance with documented specifications and procedures within the quality system. · Support both operations and engineering departments in cross-functional teams. · Develop and issue control plans, quality documentation and visual aids. · Provide training and development for Statistical Process Control (SPC) on production processes. · Support cross-functional activities in the execution of Validations . · Provide quality engineering support for internal audits , third party regulatory audits and customer complaints as required. · Provide statistical advice for process investigation . · Actively support / lead the development and maintenance of BD’s quality systems. · Ensure the detail and content of Quality Notifications / MRB decisions conform to the relevant procedural documentation. · Audit / authorise release of the Document History Records for each production batch. · Provide the development, mentorship and training for the Quality Inspection Teams. · Maintain and develop the BOS Quality performance documentation as required. The successful candidate will have experience in a quality role within a high volume manufacturing controlled environment. You will ideally have knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles. You will have good I.T. skills including MS Excel, Minitab or similar statistical analysis software. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to use these to influence people.
