Quality Engineer
Overview
Experienced Quality Engineer required to join the existing team of a large manufacturer based in Plymouth . The successful Quality Engineer will be responsible for achieving the client’s internal and external quality standards, whilst driving forward continuous improvement to meet the expectations of the customer. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to utilise their leadership skills within a company that is synonymous with putting quality and innovation at the fore front of their ethos. Key Responsibilities: Application of core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) Lead and facilitate problem solving activities using appropriate quality tools, verify and validate actions / results Provide Production support as and when required Provide Customer support as and when required Support new product and process introductions / changes Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives based on quality performance indicators Define the quality control methods required to ensure robust production processes Carry out process audits and work cross-functionally to determine CAPA Ensure ongoing compliance with customer requirements Essential Qualifications/Experience required: Previous Quality Engineering experience gained within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment Degree or HND in an Engineering discipline Knowledge and experience of the DMAIC approach (Six Sigma) Knowledge and experience of automotive core tools Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 (or equivalents) Ability to work independently or as part of a team – experience of leading teams an advantage Methodical, tenacious, thorough, and determined If you are an experienced Quality Engineer and are currently looking for a new challenge, please submit an up to date CV by using the ‘apply’ button below.
