Overview
The ZSL Digital team are seeking an Ecommerce Coordinator, to help improve and grow our online retail offer and ensure our customers have an excellent shopping experience. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the ZSL Online Shop, ensuring all categories and product ranges are available and execute the weekly trading plan and campaigns. This is a varied role that will include elements of merchandising, trading, content management, operations and reporting. You will be part of a small but driven, creative team with fantastic opportunities to learn and develop. Inspiring, informing, empowering – working for wildlife. Main Duties and Responsibilities Daily maintenance and updating of the eCommerce platform. Manage the product catalogue including set up, publishing and on-going changes. Manage content including writing and editing compelling product descriptions and updating product imagery. Implement on-site changes, such as amending landing pages, changing homepage banners, create and amend categories. Support the SEO strategy and optimise product visual merchandising to maximise sales. Monitor daily web analytics to measure performance and make recommendations. Liaise with the Buying team to successfully implement new product launches, campaigns and promotions. Communicate with the warehouse to ensure order fulfilment is on track. Be the day-to-day contact for the Customer Service team for enquiries. Person Specification This role would make a great second step in your ecommerce career and will give clear ownership and responsibilities whilst still providing plenty of room to learn and grow. Previous ecommerce experience essential, including managing and uploading product, merchandising and content generation. Some technical experience is a plus but no coding is necessary. Experience in content writing, editing or copywriting. A passion for data and ability to use Google Analytics to provide reports and insights. SEO experience is a plus, but more importantly eagerness to learn. Very strong attention to detail. Demonstrate a creative, commercial and customer focused mind-set. Evidence of having delivered fantastic customer service. Have excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
