Here at Blue Arrow Romford, we are currently recruiting for cleaners, porters and hosts to work for one of our Hospitals in Leytonstone, London. Given the outbreak of COVID-19, we are looking for able candidates who are interested in working in a hospital at this time to maintain the high level of service the hospital supplies to their patients. In the time where the hospitals are very overworked and at its busiest - you must be able to work in these conditions whilst being as cautious as you can for yourself and those around you. As a Hospital Cleaner you will carry out the cleaning within the corridors, wards, bathrooms and toilets, receptions and waiting areas. You will be working on your own (once you have undergone the training process) your duties could include: Dusting, wiping down services. Using spray cleaners and various chemicals Cleaning hard floors with mops or electric floor cleaners Using vacuum cleaners or carpet cleaners Cleaning toilet and bathroom areas Cleaning around patients in their hospital beds. As a Ward Host you will be responsible for working with the ward team to develop and maintain the patient environment, providing high quality helpful and courteous beverage and meal service to meet the needs of the patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to: To assist in the preparation of all patient food services. Service of food to patients at designated times. Collect, wash, refill and distribute patient water jugs and glasses. Prepare and serve a range of snacks to patients between meals or on an ad-hoc basis as instructed by nursing staff. Collection, washing and storage of all crockery and cutlery items at ward level. Maintain ward kitchens and equipment in a clean and hygienic manner. Checking and recording fridge temperatures. As a Hospital Porter you will be shunting around various items within the hospital, to help maintain the high service and turn-around in the wards. This is a very physical role and will include being on your feet the majority of the day as you move around a variety of products within the hospital, items include; Patients on trolleys or in wheelchairs Medical equipment Linens Post and parcels Waste Cylinders of gas These are all full time positions, working between 7am to 9pm and 8am to 8pm. You need to already have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, if you don't you would need to process a Blue Arrow DBS with us.
