Overview
Finance Business Partner Company: A highly reputable and leading organisation within the public sector is currently hiring a Finance Business Partner to join small team and help support the transition of a financial management function that ensures value for money for all its clients. The chosen Finance Business Partner must have a formal accountancy qualification such as CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, ICPA and ICA. Role responsibilities: To work within the commercial ethos of our client so that any decision taken is done so following an assessment of commercial viability and opportunity. Additionally, the chosen candidate will work as part of a proactive, customer-focussed team that supports the achievement of our client and its partners' long-term vision. • Develop professional relationships across the organisation, employees and other key stakeholders • Develop key relationships across the Business Management Directorate • Organise effective evidence to support the team in demonstrating that taxpayer's money is allocated and spent according to the council's priority outcomes, minimising the overlap and duplication of spend and activity via an outcomes-based budgeting process • Support the delivery of the council's financial sustainability and resilience by working with the team to provide insight and intelligence to predict and model demand management • Able to input and analyse a range of financial information, for which care and attention to detail is required. Core Skill Set: • A formal accountancy qualification or equivalent professional knowledge gained through significant experience working as a finance specialist (CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, ICPA and ICA) • Experienced in a relevant role in a financial setting • Previous Council, Borough or Public Sector experience • Able to be a key Business Management advocate for change and have the personal courage and resilience to cope with ambiguity, uncertainty and pressure. • Political procedures exposure. • Experience supporting large scale, complex organisation. Rate circa - £200 - £240 - per day on a 6 month rolling contract / 35-hour week 9am - 5pm.
