Several members of the Institute staff have major National and International profiles and collaborative research programmes Platinum levels of required standards have been set for eligibility of staff to work in the unit as well as volume levels of unit throughout to maintain skill and expertise Job Description The Outpatients Staff Nurse at LBI will l be responsible to assess, plan and deliver high standards of nursing care, be able to work within a team, supervising and directing junior and temporary staff Plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care, to work within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing junior staff and temporary staff. This is a full time contract 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday to cover shifts from 8am – 6pm. Salary: £32,270 - £35,885 depending on experience plus benefits. Please note we will close this role early if suitable number of applications are received Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions Assess, plan and deliver care to meet and support patient and family needs Undertake extended roles such as phlebotomy, bra and prosthetic fitting (training will be offered) An interest is breast cancer is recommended, with the possibility of future training if desired, i.e. the Breast Cancer Care Module. Contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy ,procedure, and audit Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work Liaise with patients and Radiographers to ensure smooth running of clinic.
