Description CORPORATE LAWYER – LONDON Brief We are currently looking to recruit a lawyer between 2- 4 years PQE to join the London Corporate Group. We are looking for strong corporate lawyers with experience in corporate finance, M&A (domestic/cross border; private and public) and private equity (beneficial but not essential). Background to the Corporate Group Pinsent Masons LLP has an international corporate group comprising some 120 lawyers, including more than 35 partners. Our Corporate lawyers work with clients across a broad range of sectors advising on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, secondary fundraisings, takeovers, buy-ins and buyouts, joint ventures and investments. Our sector led approach combined with our technical expertise enables us to work more closely with our clients to understand their needs, objectives and tailor our advice. We specialise in the following areas: M&A (private company, cross border and public takeovers) Corporate Finance (equity capital markets and listed company advisory work) Private Equity Corporate governance Joint Ventures We have a strong private equity practice operating as part of a national team advising a range of private equity institutions and management teams. We have extensive experience of advising on public takeovers, both recommended and contested; initial public offerings; equity capital markets including rights issues, placings and open offers; private placements; corporate governance; compliance with the UK listing regimes and the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. We also regularly advise on cross border work and recently have undertaken deals in the United States of America, Germany, Holland, South Africa, Poland, France, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Italy. We have a strong sector focus in Advance Manufacturing & Technology, Energy, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Real Estate, Retail and Leisure and Insurance and Financial Services. The Candidate Required The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or a large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
