Overview
A new role for 6 months supporting the movement of data from legacy systems to a new system (Workday). Your new company My client is the UK's Centre of Excellence for research in the terrestrial and freshwater environmental sciences. They are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Project Support Services team based at their offices in Wallingford. Your new role The role is full time for a period of 6 months and will support the existing team as it completes the move of project financial data from legacy systems and shared services to a new business system (Workday). The main aspects of the role are: This post will report to the lead Decision Support Accountant (DSA) and will work with all DSAs and Project Management System Support (PMSSs) to: help complete the project data transfer activities from legacy systems to our new business system (Workday) process a backlog of project accounting activity in Workday. Main Duties The main duties will include: 1, Supporting the DSAs and PMSSs in activities such as: setting up projects in the new business system (Workday). processing workflow approvals generating invoicing schedules issuing invoices, and making project (budget) revisions as necessary 2. Working with the core Finance Team and wider science community to resolve financial processing and reporting queries. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrable experience of using financial systems for project accounting purposes (experience of using Workday is highly desirable but not essential). Excellent communication skills Good team worker, able to work collaboratively with the project support team, core finance team and other staff. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines. Able to pick up new operating procedures quickly and be able to demonstrate knowledge of systems and processes to answer questions and queries from non-finance staff. Good knowledge of Excel.
